I woke early this morning after an unpleasant dream; I don’t think it was tied to what I was listening to, as yesterday was just fine. I was thrown off and found it hard to focus on the positive for a lot of the day, and have had to forcibly drag myself back to feeling open and receptive and wealthy and happy.
What I’ve been listening to for the past couple of nights — and during the day on Friday, as well — was “Accept the Gift of Abundance” from David & Steve Gordon’s Inner Change Discoveries.
I’m finding it actually quite helpful; I feel like the Theta level tracks may be having the most impact, particularly while I’m awake. It’s definitely worth a try.
The really interesting thing I’ve been noting is that for a while now I’ve not been dreaming for some reason. Last night was a bad dream, but it was a dream. I dreamed the night before, as well (neutral dream.) My biotracker confirms that I’ve been hitting the deeper levels of sleep (and was restless last night, so I was responding to the dream as well.)
Here’s the thing about that bad dream: it was lucid. I was able to analyze it and note something out of place that made no sense. Once I identified that, the dream crumbled and I woke up suddenly, but not painfully. (And naturally… at 6:30am, which is unheard of for me.)
Oh, another thing about this particular album: normally it takes me a while to fall asleep, even when I am utterly exhausted. When this is playing I zonk right out in probably two minutes and I don’t know why. I’ll take it, though! Sleeping faster and better and able to get REM cycles in for actual dreams? (I should note here that I also have PTSD; REM sleep is a precious, precious commodity.) Definitely go check out the album, see what you think.
